December First Saturday Weekend Events:
FRI 6pm-8pm - 'Lights on the Lake' - Wish Lanterns can be purchased at the Lake and floated on Wesley Lake in solidarity for rebuilding and recovery at the Jersey Shore. FREE to attend. Holiday music.
SAT 3pm-5pm - Face painting and hot chocolate at DJ's Delights (Mattison Ave) - FREE, catch early look at Christmas tree!
SAT 6pm-9pm - Tree lighting in Press Plaza - LIVE music from the cast of Scrooge. Photos with Santa and fun for all. Wear red & white to be part of a panoramic photo (7pm) from the tree towards the the boardwalk to show support as Asbury Park Lights the way for recovery at the Jersey Shore after Hurricane Sandy.
SUN 12-3pm - Cast your vote for your favorite downtown window decorations. Votes collected at PURE (Cookman Ave/Bond). Voting is FREE; all registered voters are entered to win $25 gift card to The Wonder Bar.

Exciting News!  Monmouth Antique Shoppes has opened in Asbury Park!  We are located in the Shoppes at the Arcade (next to the Emporium) at 658 Cookman Ave.  Some of the familiar faces you've come to know are here: John with his amazing barn-wood tables and cabinets, reinvented industrial finds, cool signs and more! Tom specializes in relics: Buddhas, meteorites, roman artifacts, coins, fossils, crystals, and WWII and Civil war items Ann has an eye for mid century furniture and accessories Eric scours the back-roads for cool things - lockers, photographs and industrial finds Susi searches for vintage items - silver plate, glassware, furniture, photographs, and books Terry offers military and Native American artifacts Charles has a large collection of 19th century bottles, political pins and metal banks We are open every day 11-5p, Friday and Saturday till 7p (later on first Saturdays and when there are activities in the area).
